“This is the car of the father”: the daughter of the Russian philosopher Dugin died in a car explosion22.08.2022
A car exploded near the village of Bolshiye Vyazemy in the Odintsovo district on Saturday evening. The car was driven by journalist and political scientist Daria Dugin, the daughter of the famous philosopher and publicist Alexander Dugin, who has been on the US sanctions list since March 2015.
According to the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region, the girl died on the spot.
Toyota Land Cruiser exploded at about 9 pm, at the moment when it was moving at full speed along the road. Presumably, an explosive device, previously placed in the vehicle, went off.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under paragraph “e” of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder committed in a generally dangerous way).
Until now, investigators and forensic experts, as well as explosives experts, are working on the spot. Expert examinations will be appointed to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
