We really like perfumes that can transport us in space and time with their aroma. Hermès eau de toilette falls into this category. Le Jardin de Monsieur Li is a story about a Chinese garden, somewhere halfway between the real and the imaginary world. The peculiarity of the perfume is that it seems to teleport you to a place for meditation, where everything calls for walks and reflections, where every step awakens more and more new fantasies.

According to perfumer Jean-Claude Ellen, the process of creating this fragrance was inspired by memories.

“I remembered the smell of ponds, the smell of jasmine, the smell of wet stones, plum trees, kumquats, giant bamboos. Everything was here, and even the carps in the pond were in no hurry and lived up to a hundred years. The Szechuan pepper bushes were as thorny as roses, and their leaves smelled of lemon. It only remained to create this new garden, which would absorb all the others.
