Hyaluronic acid: contraindications and warnings

No matter how wonderful the effect of hyaluronic acid is, contraindications to it are quite strict, since its use is, in fact, an interference with the natural processes of the skin. It is worth saying that every year the method of obtaining hyaluronic acid is being improved, which means that there are less and less side effects. So, hyaluronic acid of animal origin is the most allergenic, besides, its effect is very short-term, so natural hyaluronic acid is almost never used in cosmetology.

Modern fillers use biosynthesized hyaluronic acid, but it can also cause serious complications in the form of autoimmune diseases. The fact is that such acid is obtained by biofermentation – pathogenic microorganisms grow and multiply in a nutrient medium and in the process secrete hyaluronic acid, which also contains impurities in the form of proteins, bacterial cells and toxins, which are very difficult and costly to remove. The intake of proteins into the human skin together with acid can cause pathological reactions, as a result of which serious diseases develop. Therefore, before resorting to a procedure using hyaluronic acid, be sure to announce contraindications (autoimmune, allergic, atopic procedures) to your doctor. Pay attention to the degree of purification of the drug that will be used for your procedure.
