Covid retreated, but others came: what diseases threaten Europe this summer23.06.2022
The first big threat was monkeypox, which raged back in early May. It was known to scientists before, but recently cases of this infection have increased dramatically. According to the World Health Organization, most of those infected, with proper treatment, recover safely, but sometimes the disease flows into a severe form.
In less than a couple of weeks, a mysterious childhood hepatitis covered Europe. Since the beginning of spring, almost 350 cases have already been recorded. The exact cause of the disease, scientists can not yet name.
More than 90% of the children were hospitalized, some died. Another 40 patients required liver transplantation. At the same time, scientists clarify that even such figures are not a reason for panic. But at the same time, priority attention is given to all recorded cases.
