A boy without a family who dreamed of happiness: why among the millions of fans Shatunov chose the one that did not even know his songs23.06.2022
Shatunov himself explained it this way: he does not want to cancel concerts, but he is afraid of contracting covid and therefore keeps a respectful distance from the crowd. He does not even take flowers from anyone’s hands, so as not to expose himself to unnecessary danger. And they throw everything to him and throw white roses at his feet.
It was no coincidence that the singer took care of his health so much: he planned to live many more happy years next to his wife and children. But fate decreed otherwise: in the early morning of June 23, the artist died.
An orphan with a big dream
The popularity and money that fell on Yuri Shatunov in his youth became a reward for a difficult childhood. All that he sang about in one of his most popular songs – running on rooftops, chasing pigeons – never happened in his life.
The future artist was born in the small Bashkir town of Kumertau – right in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. The father left the family when the boy was only three years old. And right after Yura was 11 years old, his mother fell seriously ill. Soon she died during a heart operation, but before her death she managed to send her son to a boarding school.
